Local-food advocates pay tribute to Parker Bosley

From the proliferation of farmers markets to the increasing presence of locally grown and produced foods on area menus, to a demand for culinary precision, one person stands at the crossroads of this region's food renaissance: Parker Bosley.

That's why about 300 people gathered on a recent Sunday afternoon in Rade Dining Hall at St. Ignatius High School. Chefs, farmers, local market personnel and shoppers alike joined in a celebration.

Most Clevelanders who know his name think of him chiefly as an outspoken farmboy-turned-teacher-turned-chef.
